Your rights and responsibilities when using Jortion.

By accessing or using Jortion, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service to the extent permitted by applicable law. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our service.
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Your continued use of the service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms to the extent permitted by applicable law.
These documents describe Jortion's current practices and are intended to provide transparency. They are not a substitute for legal advice. Nothing in these terms overrides rights that cannot lawfully be waived or excluded under applicable law.
To use Jortion, you must create an account. You are responsible for:
You must provide accurate information during registration. You may not create an account on behalf of another person without their express permission.
You must not misrepresent your age or identity. If we learn that you have provided false information, we may take action including account suspension or termination.
Jortion is intended only for users who meet the applicable minimum age. The minimum age is at least 13 years old, or the higher minimum age required by applicable law in your jurisdiction, whichever is higher. Users who do not meet the applicable minimum age are not permitted to use Jortion.
During account creation, you must affirmatively attest that you meet the minimum age requirement. This attestation is a user statement and is not independent age verification. Jortion does not independently verify the age of users. No date of birth verification or government ID verification is performed.
Users are responsible for providing truthful information and for complying with the minimum-age requirement applicable to them. Providing false age information or otherwise attempting to circumvent the minimum-age requirement violates these Terms.
If Jortion becomes aware that an account was created or used by a person who does not meet the applicable minimum-age requirement, Jortion may restrict, suspend, or terminate the account and may remove associated content or information, subject to applicable law.
You choose your username when creating your account. Usernames must be unique and may not impersonate other individuals or entities.
You may not use a username that is misleading, deceptive, or violates the rights of others. We reserve the right to change or remove usernames that violate these terms.
You retain ownership of any content you post on Jortion, including posts, replies, profile information, and other user-generated content, subject to applicable law.
By posting content, you grant Jortion a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, reproduce, and distribute your content for the purpose of operating, providing, and improving the service. This license is limited to what is necessary to provide the service to you and other users, and is subject to your account settings and deletion choices.
You represent and warrant that you have the right to post any content you share, and that the content does not violate the rights of any third party.
Public content on Jortion may be visible to other users. Private content is only visible to you and users you authorize according to your privacy settings.
You agree to use Jortion only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these terms. You agree not to:
Jortion reserves the right, where permitted by applicable law, to remove, restrict, hide, disable access to, or otherwise take action regarding content or accounts that we reasonably believe violate these Terms, our Community Guidelines, applicable law, or pose a risk to users, the platform, privacy, security, or the integrity of the service.
Depending on the circumstances, action may be taken with or without prior notice. We may provide notice or an opportunity to appeal where appropriate or required by applicable law.
Nothing in this section limits rights or procedures that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Jortion provides a reporting system for users to report content that may violate these terms. You can report posts, replies, profiles, and messages.
Report categories include: spam, harassment, impersonation, inappropriate content, hate speech, violence, misinformation, copyright issues, privacy violations, and other concerns.
Reports may be reviewed. Submitting a report does not guarantee that content will be removed. Deliberately false or abusive reporting may itself violate these terms.

Jortion may terminate accounts for violations of these Terms, Community Guidelines, applicable laws, illegal activity, abuse, security threats, fraud, attempts to circumvent restrictions, false minimum-age information, or other serious misuse.
Users may also initiate account deletion through the Settings interface.
You may deactivate or delete your account through the Settings interface.
Account Deactivation: Deactivating your account temporarily hides your profile and content from other users. Your data is preserved and you can reactivate your account by logging in again.
Account Deletion: Account deletion marks your account and associated data as deleted with a timestamp. However, some information may remain in our systems where reasonably necessary and legally permitted or required, including for security, fraud prevention, moderation records, legal obligations, dispute resolution, enforcement of platform rules, audit logs, backups, or other legitimate purposes. Retention is subject to applicable law and our actual retention practices.
You can also request a copy of your data through our data export feature before deleting your account.

These third-party service providers may process information as necessary to provide their services. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
Jortion's original content, features, and functionality are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
You may not reproduce, modify, create derivative works, or distribute our content without our express written permission.
You must not post content that infringes on the intellectual property rights of others. If you believe your intellectual property has been infringed, you may report it through our reporting system.
Jortion is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. Use of the service is at your own risk.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the service or any part of it at any time without notice.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service.
Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable law.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Jortion from any claims arising from your use of the service, your violation of these terms, your unlawful conduct, your infringement of third-party rights, or your misuse of the service.

Jortion operates as a global online service. Depending on where you live, additional rights or legal protections may apply to you under local laws.

Your continued use of the service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms to the extent permitted by applicable law. We do not claim the ability to retroactively change users' legal rights without limitation.
